VOLUME REDUCTION

Front-End Low Speed Shredding - volume reduction to reduce size of infeed material feeding the balance of the C&D recycling system.  When pre-sized (shredded) to 18" or 24" minus, the debris is large enough to still effectively be sorted, yet 'uniform' enough to be productively handled by the manual and automated sort lines.

Shredders deliver the best payback if/when:

You have a 2 line recycling system and want to maximize percentage of middles for automated recovery of ferrous metal and aggregate
High volume production is required (more then 75 tons per hour)

You have a 90 degree 'turn' in your system

Back-End High-Speed Grinding
Grinders can be effectively used on the back-end of Erin C&D recycling systems to either:
grind the sorted wood to produce either a mulch or fuel product
grind the selectively unsorted debris to produce an RDF product

grind the residual waste to produce an alternate daily cover (ADC) product

Erin C&D recycling systems integrate shredders and/or grinders as required to meet customers' overall recycling objectives.  An example of Erin C&D recycling system incorporating shredding and grinding is shown below:
Erin manufactures all of its screening equipment, conveyors, sorting stations as well as designs and assembles its control panels. We integrate any additional items required for our customers (magnets, grinders, shredders, destoners), to ensure seamless operation and support. This high level of control means you have one company to support your complete operation for years to come.
By designing your 'future system' from the outset, but building the Erin recycling system you can justify today, you can realize significant cost & space savings down the line!
Our c&d recycling customers play a valuable role in our continuous product improvement  & new product development programs.  This 'partnership philosophy' permeates every aspect of our business.
